codePannu officially listed as a school on LinkedIn: A step toward lifelong learning

News alert: codePannu is officially listed as a school on LinkedIn 🎉
How this started
This announcement may look small, but it represents a question we have been thinking about for years.
Some time ago, I spoke to a parent who was worried about their child. The child was curious, took many courses with genuine interest, and completed them well. But after every course, the same concern came up. What happens next? Where does all this learning go once the classes are over?
We hear this question often at codePannu too. Parents ask how children stay engaged after a course ends. They ask if there are ways to continue learning, practising, or exploring further. These questions matter, because learning should not feel like something that stops abruptly.
When we buy a product, we expect years of service and support. But when a student completes a course, there is usually no long term structure around them. Once the course ends, the connection often ends too. Over time, this gap can leave learners feeling lost, even when they enjoyed learning and did well.
Should schools, colleges, and private institutions support students after graduation? I strongly believe they should. But it is not an easy problem to solve. How long should this support last? Who coordinates it? And how do we make it sustainable over many years?
This matters especially for students who are still figuring things out. Not everyone knows early what they want to become. Many children learn best by exploring, trying, and changing direction. Staying connected to a learning community gives them the space to do that, without pressure to decide too soon.
How this works
Over time, I have come to believe that community driven solutions are the most realistic way forward. Alumni networks, in particular, grow slowly but they last. They allow learners to stay connected, learn from each other, and feel anchored to a place where their learning began.
With this in mind, we applied to list codePannu as a school on LinkedIn. We are happy to share that we have been approved.
This means our students can now list their codePannu courses under education on LinkedIn. It also helps them stay connected as alumni, using the name of the institution they learned from. Employers who work with our students as interns can also reach out to us for verification or recommendations.
At codePannu, we have always believed that learning is not about finishing a syllabus. It is about building the confidence to keep learning, even when there is no teacher or timetable. This step is simply an extension of that belief.
What we hope to build next
Unlike many alumni networks that focus mainly on jobs, our intention is different. Our focus is long term support for learning itself.
This does not mean we will have all the answers or a fixed path for every student. What we can offer is continuity. A place to return to. People to reach out to. And a shared identity that says, this is where I learned to start.
This will take time. Communities always do. But we are hopeful that, over the next few years, we can build a group of young learners who support each other and grow together.
Give us a couple of years at least 🙂
What kind of support would have helped you after you finished learning something you truly enjoyed?
